Do You Love Me? (Levi x Reader)

Do you love me?

You groaned as the unrelenting sun bore down on your slim, panting figure. Of corse, you had to choose this day to piss off the Corporal. God it was hot, and you still had to keep running until he came out and told you that you could stop.

The evening was in that completely scorching faze, where the sun hit in the angle that could fry an egg and the sky was turning a beautiful orange, turning the stone walls of the HQ a brilliant copper colour.

Your legs burned and your lungs sucked in air with difficulty and strain. Not that you would let anyone see you this weak. You kept your eyes forward as you continued running laps.

A shorty proper looking figure entered your hazy field of view and stopped to watch you struggle through the heat. You paid no attention to the corporal. In fact you IGNORED him, pissed off at the fact that you were running simply because you missed a spot of dirt on the window in the mess hall.

"Cadet (Last)." You heard him call out. His voice was deep and smooth and, unbelievably sexy. Ignoring your inner girl that squealed at the fact that your hot superior was calling you, you kept your eyes forward, as if running those laps was the most important thing in the world.

"Oi, brat! Stop and look at me before I come over there," his voice darkened immensely.  "And make you."

You stopped running and snapped your fist over your heart. "Yes sir." He gave you a  look of irritation, but brushed it off as he walked up to you, his feet leaving small puffs of dirt in the heavy air.

"Do you think you've learned your lesson?" He asked with an almost bored expression. In fact he started examining his hand for any specks of dirt! "Lesson sir? Which one? The one where I learned not to piss off my short corporal, or the one where I learned tonight might have been the hottest night this world has ever know?"

The corporals eyes snapped up to you and he was in your face in a matter of minutes. He looked you straight in the eyes, his face only inches from yours. Somehow, he made you cower so he was looking down at you.

"Care to repeat that cadet?" You gulped. "No sir, sorry I'm just tired and I think I'm overheating..." You trailed off. He didn't back away from you, if anything his gaze intensified. If that was even possible.

"I don't want to hear your excuses (Last). Now keep running, the sun isn't down yet and you could afford to lose a couple more hours of your PRECIOUS time!" You backed away from him so you could gain some much needed oxygen.

"Yes s-sir!" You mumbled and continued running.

You only got a few steps before suddenly, the ground was next to your face and you could hear and irritated 'tch' and felt arms lift you up against a warm muscular chest. Then a strange black cloud covered your vision and you couldn't think anymore.

(Time skip.)

Hanji sat on the chair next to (First), taking her blood pressure and feeling her forehead. She completed a couple of tests before turning to Levi.

"What's wrong with you Levi? It was 115 degrees out there! She could have died!" Obvious concern filled her voice.

(First) was lying on one of the cots in the infirmary, she'd passed out from heat exhaustion. "Get off my back shitty glasses! She needed to be taught a lesson."

Hanji scoffed "by dying from exposed to the sun? What I heard was she missed a speck of dust cleaning and you made her run from noon till sunset!"

"Hanji that's enough." Erwin's big booming voice irrupted from behind Levi. "I'm sure this wasn't intentional."

He turned to Levi. "But you need to loosen up on the cleaning punishments, I don't want my cadets dropping dead in the middle of training. How long has she been out for Hanji?"

"A couple of days, she's getting better though, that's the good thing. There's some pretty bad sunburns on her neck and hands though." Hanji turned back to her patient. "But I'm leaving for Mitras tonight, someone needs to look after her."

"I'll do it." Levi spoke up immediately, causing Erwin to give him a suspicious look. "I know a good remedy for sunburns and it's also my fault she is in this mess."

"It's settled then, we will move (First) to Levi's room by the end of the day." And with that, Erwin and Levi walked out of the room.

Reader POV

The blackness was slowly fading away. You didn't know how long it had been since you felt Levi carry you into the castle, but you hope it hadn't been long.

The last thing the survey corps needed was some cadet stuck in the infirmary because of a little heatstroke.

But you realized, you weren't in the infirmary.

You were in a soft bed, that smelled a lot like bleach. But it also smelled like a guy, this musky smell that comforted you oddly enough.

But you knew you needed to get up so you reluctantly pulled yourself up into a sitting position. Your nape and hands burned and you looked down to find your hands red and swollen.

You looked around and were surprised when you met the gaze of none other than corporal Levi. "Um sir? What am I doing here? Where am I?" Levi was sitting at his desk, a pile of papers in front of him.

"You're in my room, so where you'll be staying until you heal. That was a pretty big scare you gave me brat. I though you were going to die." You face flushed at his concern. You never thought Levi could care about his cadets.

"I didn't know you felt that way sir. About me or the other cadets." At this, Levi slowly rose from his desk and walked towards you. Was it something I said?

"Of corse I care. I try not to get attached because cadets usually don't survive long." He was now standing next to your bed leaning over and looking into your eyes.

You could feel him staring holes into your soul.

"Oh." Was all you could say, his gaze mesmerizing you. "As for you (last)," he grabbed your chin and tilted your head up slightly.

"You are a cadet I care very much about."

And suddenly, he was kissing you. It was a smooth, passionate kiss that took you by surprise. You kissed him back and wrapped your arms around his neck.

His fingers brushed up your sides and he pulled back slightly, lips still brushing your when he spoke. "Now this means no more formalities (First)." He whispered.

"Okay Levi." You whispered back. And he actually smiled.

"That's my girl (First). I love you, always have. And I'm sorry I put you through that." He mumbled into your ear as he started kissing your jawline.

"I forgive you Levi, it's okay." You moaned out as he continued kissing you.

"Do you love me?" He asked and pulled back to look into your eyes.

You stretched your lips into a smile and you didn't hold back your words.

"With all my heart."
